O Princ\u00edpio do Barril Furado: A Lei do M\u00ednimo de Liebig<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Imagine que voc\u00ea quer encher um barril de \u00e1gua.&nbsp;Esse barril \u00e9 feito de ripas de madeira de diferentes alturas.&nbsp;A quantidade m\u00e1xima de \u00e1gua que o barril pode conter n\u00e3o \u00e9 determinada pela ripa mais alta,&nbsp;mas sim pela ripa&nbsp;<strong>mais baixa<\/strong>.&nbsp;Quando a \u00e1gua atinge o topo da ripa mais curta,&nbsp;ela come\u00e7a a vazar,&nbsp;n\u00e3o importa qu\u00e3o altas sejam as outras ripas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na d\u00e9cada de 1840,\u00a0o qu\u00edmico agr\u00edcola alem\u00e3o\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pt.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Justus_von_Liebig\">Justus von Liebig<\/a>\u00a0aplicou esse conceito \u00e0 nutri\u00e7\u00e3o vegetal.\u00a0A\u00a0<strong>Lei do M\u00ednimo de Liebig<\/strong>\u00a0afirma que o crescimento das plantas n\u00e3o \u00e9 controlado pelo total de recursos dispon\u00edveis,\u00a0mas pelo recurso\u00a0<strong>mais escasso<\/strong>\u00a0(o fator limitante).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O Fator Limitante no Aqu\u00e1rio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As plantas aqu\u00e1ticas precisam de uma &#8220;cesta&#8221; completa de nutrientes para crescer.&nbsp;Esta cesta inclui:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Luz<\/strong>&nbsp;(energia).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Carbono<\/strong>\u00a0(geralmente via\u00a0CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u200b\u00a0dissolvido).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Macronutrientes<\/strong>:&nbsp;Nitrog\u00eanio (N,&nbsp;medido como Nitrato),&nbsp;F\u00f3sforo (P,&nbsp;medido como Fosfato),&nbsp;Pot\u00e1ssio (K).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Micronutrientes<\/strong>:&nbsp;Ferro (Fe),&nbsp;Magn\u00e9sio (Mg),&nbsp;C\u00e1lcio (Ca),&nbsp;etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Se o seu aqu\u00e1rio est\u00e1 densamente plantado,\u00a0tem luz forte e inje\u00e7\u00e3o de\u00a0CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u200b,\u00a0as ripas de &#8220;Luz&#8221; e &#8220;Carbono&#8221; s\u00e3o muito altas.\u00a0O metabolismo das plantas est\u00e1 acelerado.\u00a0Elas querem crescer r\u00e1pido, mas para crescer r\u00e1pido,\u00a0elas come\u00e7am a consumir macronutrientes em grandes quantidades.\u00a0Mesmo em aqu\u00e1rios com metabolismo mais lento (como os <em>low tech<\/em>), a regra \u00e9 a mesma: o crescimento \u00e9 ditado pelo nutriente mais escasso. No entanto,\u00a0se o n\u00edvel de\u00a0<strong>F\u00f3sforo (Fosfato)<\/strong>\u00a0cair a zero enquanto ainda houver muito\u00a0<strong>Nitrato<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0<strong>Pot\u00e1ssio<\/strong>,\u00a0o crescimento\u00a0<strong>para<\/strong>.\u00a0O f\u00f3sforo torna-se a ripa mais baixa do barril. O resultado \u00e9 que as plantas param de absorver o restante do nitrato,\u00a0porque n\u00e3o conseguem us\u00e1-lo sem f\u00f3sforo.\u00a0O nitrato come\u00e7a a se acumular na coluna d&#8217;\u00e1gua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. A Bioqu\u00edmica da Assimila\u00e7\u00e3o do Nitrog\u00eanio: Por que o F\u00f3sforo \u00e9 Vital<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voc\u00ea pode se perguntar:\u00a0&#8220;Por que elas s\u00e3o t\u00e3o exigentes?\u00a0Por que n\u00e3o podem simplesmente comer o nitrato que est\u00e1 l\u00e1?&#8221;. Para entender isso,\u00a0precisamos olhar para como o nitrog\u00eanio \u00e9 transformado dentro da planta.\u00a0Este processo \u00e9 chamado de\u00a0<strong>Assimila\u00e7\u00e3o do Nitrog\u00eanio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O Processo de Assimila\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As plantas n\u00e3o usam o nitrato (NO<sub>3<\/sub><sup>\u2212<\/sup>\u200b) diretamente na forma como o absorvem.\u00a0O nitrato \u00e9 uma forma oxidada.\u00a0A planta precisa &#8220;reduzi-lo&#8221; (adicionar el\u00e9trons para diminuir o estado de oxida\u00e7\u00e3o do nitrog\u00eanio) para transform\u00e1-lo em\u00a0<strong>Am\u00f4nio (NH4+\u200b)<\/strong>,\u00a0que \u00e9 a forma que pode ser incorporada em amino\u00e1cidos para construir prote\u00ednas e tecidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Este processo ocorre em duas etapas enzim\u00e1ticas principais:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A enzima&nbsp;<strong>Nitrato Redutase<\/strong>&nbsp;converte Nitrato (NO<sub>3<\/sub><sup>\u2212<\/sup>\u200b) em Nitrito (NO<sub>2<\/sub><sup>\u2212<\/sup>\u200b) no citoplasma da c\u00e9lula.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A enzima&nbsp;<strong>Nitrito Redutase<\/strong>&nbsp;converte Nitrito (NO<sub>2<\/sub><sup>\u2212<\/sup>\u200b) em Am\u00f4nio (NH<sub>4<\/sub><sup>+<\/sup>\u200b) dentro dos cloroplastos.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Aqui entra o F\u00f3sforo:<\/strong>&nbsp;Todo esse processo enzim\u00e1tico requer uma quantidade enorme de energia qu\u00edmica.&nbsp;Essa energia \u00e9 fornecida por uma mol\u00e9cula chamada&nbsp;<strong>ATP (Trifosfato de Adenosina)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O nome j\u00e1 diz tudo:&nbsp;&#8220;Trifosfato&#8221;.&nbsp;A mol\u00e9cula de ATP \u00e9 constru\u00edda em torno de um n\u00facleo de f\u00f3sforo.&nbsp;<strong>Sem f\u00f3sforo, a planta n\u00e3o consegue produzir ATP. Sem ATP, ela n\u00e3o tem energia para ativar as enzimas que quebram o nitrato.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9 como ter um fog\u00e3o cheio de comida (nitrato),&nbsp;mas estar sem g\u00e1s ou eletricidade (energia do f\u00f3sforo) para cozinhar.&nbsp;A comida fica l\u00e1,&nbsp;parada na despensa (coluna d&#8217;\u00e1gua).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. A Propor\u00e7\u00e3o de Redfield: O Equil\u00edbrio Ideal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Existe um outro ponto importante a se considerar. Voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode simplesmente jogar qualquer quantidade de nutrientes no aqu\u00e1rio e esperar que as plantas consumam tudo proporcionalmente.\u00a0Existe um equil\u00edbrio ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Na d\u00e9cada de 1930,\u00a0o ocean\u00f3grafo americano\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Alfred_C._Redfield\">Alfred C. Redfield<\/a>\u00a0descobriu que a composi\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica do pl\u00e2ncton marinho mantinha uma propor\u00e7\u00e3o notavelmente constante de Carbono (C),\u00a0Nitrog\u00eanio (N) e F\u00f3sforo (P).\u00a0Essa propor\u00e7\u00e3o ficou conhecida como a\u00a0<strong>Raz\u00e3o de Redfield<\/strong>\u00a0ou\u00a0<strong>Propor\u00e7\u00e3o de Redfield<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">106&nbsp;C:16&nbsp;N:1&nbsp;P<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Embora essa raz\u00e3o tenha sido criada para o oceano,\u00a0aquaristas de \u00e1gua doce a adaptaram como uma diretriz para a fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de plantas aqu\u00e1ticas.\u00a0No aqu\u00e1rio plantado,\u00a0tentamos manter uma propor\u00e7\u00e3o de\u00a0<strong>Nitrato para Fosfato<\/strong>\u00a0entre\u00a0<strong>10:1 e 20:1<\/strong> (em ppm ou mg\/L).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O Cen\u00e1rio do seu Enigma<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No aqu\u00e1rio do nosso exemplo (com nitrato alto e f\u00f3sforo baixo),&nbsp;a propor\u00e7\u00e3o est\u00e1 completamente desequilibrada.&nbsp;Se voc\u00ea tem 40 ppm de Nitrato e 0 ppm de Fosfato,&nbsp;a propor\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9&nbsp;<strong>40:0<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nesse estado,&nbsp;as plantas j\u00e1 consumiram todo o fosfato dispon\u00edvel para produzir a energia necess\u00e1ria para digerir o nitrato que j\u00e1 comeram.&nbsp;Agora elas est\u00e3o em &#8220;estado de choque&#8221; nutricional,&nbsp;incapazes de processar o nitrato restante,n\u00e3o importa qu\u00e3o denso seja o seu plantio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E agora, o que fazer?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Passo 1: O Plano de A\u00e7\u00e3o Mec\u00e2nico<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O primeiro passo \u00e9 mec\u00e2nico.\u00a0Fa\u00e7a uma\u00a0<strong>Troca Parcial de \u00c1gua (TPA)<\/strong>\u00a0maci\u00e7a (30-70%, a depender da quantidade de nitrato e outras caracter\u00edsticas do seu ecossistema) para diluir fisicamente o nitrato acumulado.\u00a0Se voc\u00ea tinha 40 ppm,\u00a0uma TPA com \u00e1gua livre de nitrato (\u00e1gua de osmose reversa, por exemplo) de 50% vai baix\u00e1-lo para perto de 20 ppm, um n\u00edvel muito mais gerenci\u00e1vel e seguro para a fauna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Passo 2: Fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o Direcionada (Mono)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Agora voc\u00ea precisa fornecer o f\u00f3sforo que falta.&nbsp;N\u00e3o use fertilizantes &#8220;All-in-One&#8221; (Tudo-em-Um) que contenham nitrog\u00eanio,&nbsp;pois voc\u00ea j\u00e1 tem nitrog\u00eanio de sobra.&nbsp;Voc\u00ea precisa de um&nbsp;<strong>fertilizante de F\u00f3sforo Mononutriente<\/strong>.&nbsp;O composto mais comum \u00e9 o&nbsp;<strong>Fosfato Monopot\u00e1ssico (KH<sub>2<\/sub>\u200bPO<sub>4<\/sub>\u200b)<\/strong>.&nbsp;Dose f\u00f3sfato suficiente para atingir uma&nbsp;<strong>concentra\u00e7\u00e3o alvo<\/strong>&nbsp;de&nbsp;<strong>1 ppm a 3 ppm<\/strong>&nbsp;na coluna d&#8217;\u00e1gua ap\u00f3s a TPA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Passo 3: O Teste de Consumo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Continue testando nitrato e fosfato a cada dois dias.&nbsp;Com o f\u00f3sforo agora dispon\u00edvel,&nbsp;voc\u00ea deve observar que o n\u00edvel de nitrato come\u00e7a a&nbsp;<strong>cair<\/strong>.&nbsp;Isso \u00e9 a prova de que as plantas finalmente t\u00eam a energia para assimilar o nitrato acumulado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c9 fundamental compreender que os aqu\u00e1rios plantados n\u00e3o s\u00e3o todos iguais. Eles s\u00e3o classificados de acordo com a demanda das plantas, que podem ser de\u00a0<strong>baixa, m\u00e9dia ou alta manuten\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>. Essa classifica\u00e7\u00e3o refere-se diretamente \u00e0 velocidade de crescimento das esp\u00e9cies e \u00e0 quantidade de recursos exigidos, tais como a necessidade de inje\u00e7\u00e3o de\u00a0CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u200b, luminosidade intensa com espectros espec\u00edficos e fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o controlada de macro e micronutrientes. A depender de que tipo de aqu\u00e1rio plantado voc\u00ea tem, o diagn\u00f3stico e o tratamento podem ser bem diferentes. Portanto, se voc\u00ea tem um aqu\u00e1rio com um punhado de el\u00f3deas (<i>Egeria<\/i><em> densa<\/em>) e uma lumin\u00e1ria b\u00e1sica, sem CO<sub>2<\/sub> injetado, substrato f\u00e9rtil ou fertiliza\u00e7\u00e3o em l\u00edquido, n\u00e3o se preocupe!
